Three Ultrasonic Sensors for Effective Level Measurement
Storage tanks and silos in many different industries require overfill prevention and continuous level measurement to prevent equipment damage and downtime. This means a broad range of materials, such as chemicals, sludge, and gravel, must be reliably detected to maintain optimal process flows. 1. 18GMA series sensors, when used with the new MH-18GMA mounting bracket, provide a cost-effective, low-profile solution for small tank level control. A sleek solution for space-restrictive areas, its unique design also reduces the sensor dead band by 10 mm. The O-ring seal prevents tank contents from leaking while also blocking contaminants from entering the vessel. Installation also couldn’t be simpler―the sensor is manually press-fitted into the mounting hole and secured with the included mounting hardware. Sensors in the series are also UV-rated for outdoor applications.
2. Our series 30GM70 series 70 ultrasonic sensors are masters of versatility. With sensing ranges from 50 mm to 6 m, they are the perfect solution for a wide range of level measurement and overfill prevention applications. The detection range can be adjusted to meet application requirements, and the cylindrical sensor series can be parameterized without interrupting level measurement processes. A corrosion-resistant housing and transducer provide an extra layer of protection.
3. F260 series ultrasonic sensors detect fill level in rugged environments. Incorporated continuous fill level monitoring and overfill protection functions ensure reliable fill control and safe plant operation. The easy-to-configure, IP65-rated sensors can withstand shock and vibration from on-site machinery and can operate in temperatures ranging from -25 °C to +70 °C. With an extra-long detection range of up to 10 m, the F260 provides accurate measurement, even when exposed to moderate amounts of dust.
